About Katie
Katie is currently living in Managua, Nicaragua. She moved to Nicaragua in January 2009 to work with an organization called One by One (www.theinnocent.org) One by One has churches focused on reaching the children and youth of Nicaragua with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Katie is the director of The Refuge Project which is a ministry of One by One that is focused on rescuing and restoring children who have been forced into prostitution, child labor, or have otherwise been abused.
Before moving to Nicaragua, Katie lived in Greenville, South Carolina where she worked in Human Resources at a regional grocery store chain, and also worked as a Systems Administrator for General Electric. Katie earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Minnesota State University in Management Information Systems.
Since moving to Nicaragua she met and fell in love with Yeril Lozano and they were married on May 13 of 2011. They’d love to hear from you!
